- Whether you are visiting Grand
Manan for a while or just for the day, be sure and join us for an
unforgettable sailing adventure aboard our 60ft. sailing yacht, the
"Elsie Menota".
- Weather permitting, we make two
daily trips (11:30am and 4:00pm) from June to the end of September to
the whale watching areas around Grand Manan Island in the Bay of
Fundy. This area provides one of the finest opportunities in the
world to view several species of whales,
including the rare North Atlantic Right Whale, sharks, seals, and sea birds
- We use clean, quiet, wind power to
show you the whales. Our sail boat, the Elsie Menota,
carries 46 passengers and is over 60ft long - the largest, most
comfortable sailing yacht to offer whale watching in the Bay of Fundy.
- Each trip is narrated by marine
biologist and educator Laurie Murison, a leading authority on the Bay
of Fundy since 1982.
We see LOTS
AND LOTS of whales - Grand Manan has more
whales than any other area offering whale watching in New Brunswick -
over 100 individual whales visit the waters around the Island each summer.
We very often see the North
Atlantic right whale,
the rarest large animal on earth (approximately 400 left) and Grand
Manan is the only place in New Brunswick where you can regularly
expect to see them.
You will see unique and rare seabirds.
See, learn and have fun with the
crew of the Elsie Menota!
